Can I get in trouble for downloading the Homebrew Channel
My cousin and I both downloaded the Homebrew Channel for our Wiis using Bannerbomb so that we could edit our Animal Crossing towns. It worked fine and we had a lot of fun. I didn't do anything major to it. I changed the name, grew all the grass back, added some trees and flowers, killed all the weeds, and changed the terrain a little bit. I didn't cheat to get lots of money. Just for landscaping. Now I am a little scared that I can get in trouble for doing this. I've heard that I can brick (whatever that means) my Wii if I update the latest menu version. Can I? I also heard that if I Homebrew some WiFi games (Super Smash Bros. Brawl) then go on WiFi, that people can report me and I can get banned by Nintendo. Is this true? I was also wondering if it was safe to install apps and insert cheat codes using Ocarina on the channel. By cheating, I don't mean completely messing up the game. That is exactly what I DO NOT WANT. I mean just doing some fun things and some helpful things, but not keeping them forever. If I add some cheat codes, can I use them, then turn them off and continue gaming normally with no side effects? Can some cheat codes actually damage my Wii or the games? If there are some safe cheat codes that I can easily enable and disable then can you tell me? Also, what are some good SAFE apps that I can get and that are easy to install? I ONLY WANT THEM IF THEY ARE GUARUNTEED TO BE PERFECTLY SAFE!!!! Mario Kart Wii Cheating
There are people cheating almost everytime I play. Now, I'm not going to get into how upset it makes me because it won't resolve a thing.
