do you see MISTAKES
My Brother Is his Own Worst Enemy “Very often we are our own worst enemy as we foolishly build stumbling blocks on the path that leads to success and happiness” Louis Binstock wrote. A quote that hits home for millions but for one impraticular. My brother James is his own worst enemy as he runs from job opportunity. He also is attending marriage counseling while continuing an affair, and he is also on drugs while taking anti-depressants. While it is certainly true that he is cognizant of his responsibilities. He has a wife supporting the two of them. She is a certified nursing assistant and cannot live comfortable raising him as if he was a child. He will go as far as to the point of an interview. Thirty minutes into it they would ask him to do a drug test. He would become rude, obnoxious and walk out. Theres been plenty of jobs where by “the grace of god” passed a drug test but when someone scorns him or corrects his doing he will just quit. Hes ran out of temporary job company's from Greenville to Spartanburg. When reality does hit him and i mean hit him hard. They better build some more temporary job placements or hes gonna be up the creek without a paddle. He has stopped looking for a job. He would rather sit in front of the computer and play pogo games for badges so he can dress his miniature couch potato. He runs from job opportunity because he knows he needs to pass a drug test, commit to the workforce and he'd miss his computer. Additionally, One year ago James and his wife Amber starting going to marriage counseling. They have been having a lot of hard times. One year ago James met someone. He has continued the relationship throughout the sessions they've had in counseling. Isn't a cheating husband an oxymoron? Isn't an oxymoron to be trying to fix your marriage and still continuing an affair? Amber knew of the affair and forgave him. While one affair ended another one was brewing. Even though he was not physically holding another woman. He was holding onto the keyboard. He's having an affair with the computer these days. They are currently going back to marriage counseling. On top of no job and cheating, James is a drug addict. A drug addict taking anti-depressants. He is only depressed when he doesn't have cocaine or pot in his system. He's an avid pot smoker and is committed to the number 420. His psychiatrist prescribed him anti-depressants to help him with the detox of drugs. Come on now you cant give a drug addict prescribed medication. He's only detoxing because he cant afford it majority of the time . He will go as often as possible to give plasma to buy a ten dollar dime bag. They give like twenty dollars but he needs the other ten for the munchies he occurs after. Finally, James was brought up right. He knew right from wrong. In the end we all make bad choices at one point of time in our lives. In reality we are or own worst enemy. As we get older, precious time on this earth gets shorter. There comes a time in life when you must stop doing what is comfortable and start doing what is right. THIS IS NOT A TRUE STORY!!! do you see any fragments??? and is it ok?? well if you cannot read I DID MY HOMEWORK

Poem i wrote while in iraq what do u think
Lost souls, Like chainless dogs Wander these streets Families and homes Once solid, now broken Like the glass bottles and syringes Crushed below our feet Abandoned children Like cars no longer running Give front yards a cemetery-like ambience Back yards once lush with green grass Cookouts and laughter Now dawn a desert atmosphere Mothers birth fatherless children Taking lessons from the harlots of the game Learning to expose their body Sliding down poles and dancing For faux love and fame Victims of false admiration Secretly and openly called tricks and whores As if their given name Living their lives through other peoples fantasies Getting and having no respect Yet absent of shame Boys no longer reach for success Or to be the father they never had Instead of making their own way They follow in his path Fertilizing seeds, not helping them to grow Abandoned fruit from the tree just as their father I guess you do reap what you sow No more visions of the lime-light Being a doctor, athlete or lawyer Just rappers and thugs There words and heart meaningless Diluted by violence, alcohol, and drugs Hyped by images of gangster disguises Portrayed by the music industry Hiding behind explicit lyrics And iced out jewelry Believing the "good life" Revolves around smoking blunts Poppin' Crys and drinking Hennessey Like the robes and hoods of the klan Expensive cars and clothes Hide there true identity And dreams are no longer legitimate schemes But weighed out on triple beams Success no longer measured by your ability to move people But rather the ability to push Grams, O's, and KI's We have become fascinated By that which is fabricated Blocking out what has true value And everything that's real To get a bigger piece of this fucked up American pie We lie, cheat, murder And steal No longer is it "them" But we, killing off each other No longer believing in the word Honoring thy father and mother We have gotten away From being the keeper Of my brother Like wingless birds Unable to fly above society's expectation Blaming the failures of our people On slavery and plantations Yet those fields are the roots of our strength Backbone of our faith And mother to our dedication Calling each other nigga, like its nothing Yet when said from someone outside the race It offends thee Blaming the problems we endure on a daily basis On the "Man", racial profiling, and society Yet in all actuality We Are our own worst enemy thank you all for your support and comments, there are also 3 other poems in this forum if you care to read them, also i am still in iraq, but soon to be home
