CORONATION Street has been shunted out of its prime Wednesday night slot how do you feel
after 50 years to make way for the football.
Episodes will be shifted from 7.30pm on Wednesdays to a new time slot of 8.30pm on Thursdays, as part of ITV1's popular drama overhaul.
they already took corrie & emmerdale away on sundays, now i'll only have emmerdale to watch on wednesdays as sky is crap & just does re~runs of everything!!!
Corrie has been broadcast on Wednesdays since the soap's launch in 1960 but has been occasionally moved to make way for big football games.
Now with the Champions League, the FA Cup and England internationals being screened on the network, the show has been moved permanently.
Other scheduling changes will also see Emmerdale screening two half-hour episodes instead of one on Thursdays and cutting its hour-long episode on Tuesdays in half to 30 minutes.
The volume of soaps will remain the same and the changes will not clash with EastEnders, which airs at 7.30pm on Thursdays.
Kicking off on July 23, the new line-up sees Thursday nights crammed with popular drama on ITV1, topped off by The Bill which is moving to its edgier 9pm time on that date.
The Bill is being repositioned to a post-watershed slot for the first time in its 25 year history.
Soap fans will have an episode of Emmerdale at 7pm and a second one at 8pm on Thursdays, followed by Coronation Street at 8.30pm.
An ITV spokesman said: "Coronation Street will make a move from Wednesday to Thursday nights on ITV1 from July 23 as part of a change to the schedule to reflect ITV's contracts for the Champions League, FA Cup and England internationals, which will see ITV1's live football broadcast on Wednesday evenings.
"In addition, two separate episodes of Emmerdale will be broadcast on Thursdays from the same date. We're delighted that Thursday evenings on ITV1 will be a great showcase for soap from Weatherfield and the Woolpack."

it was the one with michael greco and perry fenwick both from eastenders......Beppe Di Marco and Billy Mitchell....it was the first time they used the 'FEED THE GOAT' tune for the scoring game.

Why can EastEnders never get it right

says that Danielle was killed, just after failing to convince Ronnie that she was her daughter even though she did mange to convince Ronnie. Also, why has the character page for Danielle not been changed from single to deceased? Can't EastEnders get it right even now she's been killed?

Great EastEnders or what
Tonights EastEnders was amazingly entertaining!
The end was very tragic and Samantha Janus (Ronnie Mitchell) played it so well, i so wanted the Danielle and Ronnie storyline to end like a fairy tale lol.
All this build up for that ending, i bet no one saw that happening.
What sick and twisted game do you think Archie going to play and what do you think will happen with Ronnie; with the death of Danielle (or Amy Mitchell as she should be called) and the Roxy storyline
what else can you think of for tomoros and next weeks eastenders for any character?
