How to convince stubborn father to sign for a car
Okay. This is a strange situation. It's not me buying the car, or my father. It's my boyfriend who is buying a Jeep, and his father is being an a-hole. So my boyfriend is doing the Cash for Clunkers thing. Great since he bought his truck 5 years ago for $3,000. So either way he's making a profit. So back when he was going to get $3,500 for the program, his dad said that's fine. My bf's 22, they just never transferred the title into my bf's name. So his dad has to "buy" it under his name, to get the credit. My bf's dad said yes. Oh, and he lives an hour and 45 minutes away. So his dad said that's fine. Yesterday my bf and I went to the dealer and found out he could get double, and get $4,500! So he would be $9k off a new car. He called his dad, and his dad now said it was a stupid idea and he refuses to sign for it! Then my bf went online and found more rebates the dealer didn't know about. He may be able to get another $5k off!! So my bf can get a tricked out $25k car for $11k, not counting the $4k he is putting down!!! But his dad said it's a stupid idea and he should just wait until May and get a good used vehicle. He won't even be able to find a truck/jeep for that cheap used and a couple years old! And not to mention buying new comes with warranties!!! There's even a friggin' touch screen in the Jeep!!!!! With a 30GB hard drive!!!! For $11k!!!!!!!!!!! And my bf's dad said that it's a waste of money and that it'd be stupid, he should just buy used. HOW ON EARTH can we convince this STUPID AND ARROGANT idiot father to come up and sign the loan for his son's car?! Please note that his dad is not the nicest dad in the world. It's more like he's a landlord and his son is just a guest sometimes. He currently has a screen name saying that my bf owes him $1.67. And he's a grown man who plays video games all day naming characters with the word "butt" in it, and watching Spongebob, yet he calls me immature because I laugh at his lame jokes to be polite, and I have a GPS. So it's not as easy as it sounds. My bf makes more money than his father does. Basically his dad's overtime is my bf's regular pay. So it can't be that he is worried about his credit score. Or it could be, but my bf's dad is a certified idiot. So how could we get around that if that is the case? My bf's payments on a 6 year loan would be like $150 or less, with what he's putting down. We need help soon! We need to go pick it up this Saturday morning before it's gone! They only have one of those Jeeps within about 50 miles!!!! And it's one of the few vehicles eligible for the Cash for Clunkers program! Thanks. On Jeep's website they say on 2009 Jeep Patriot's you can get $3,500 plus $1,500 customer cash allowance. So I don't know if that meant the Government program, or not. Because above that it has a chart that shows the price, minus government cash, minus customer cash (which is the doubling of the CARS program). So I don't know if the $5k is Cash for Clunkers, or an extra thing. But even if he can't get it. $9k for a truck he paid $3k for 5 years ago?! How can you pass up that offer if he's planning on buying a car this year, anyways!! My bf has a good credit score. But there is a restriction on the Cash for Clunkers program. You have to have the car/truck registered under your name for at least 1 full year. Therefore if we transfer the title now, my bf would forfeit the $9k and only get the $5k off. All of these answers are from idiotic men. My bf can get a brand new Jeep under warranty for $11k. My bf has $7 in the bank and a job that he makes almost $1k a paycheck after taxes. So my bf can pay it off in less than 2 years, if he wants to. If you met this man, you would understand he is NOT doing the right thing. How is $11k for a BRAND NEW JEEP too expensive? How is it better to get a $4k tiny car that can last MAYBE 2 years, and you have to puyt $3k each year into it for repairs. Whereas Jeep's last forever. They're great cars. And my bf needs 4 wheel drive because of our location (weather and terrain) and since he's in the construction field. All of the guys answering is just as stupid as his father. This "man" is a guy who drinks til he's drunk every night. He throws stadium sized fireworks into a bonfire. He throws cats against corners of game cubes when they do nothing wrong. Is it true a guy turns into his father
I can't stand my boyfriend's dad. For many reasons, but he has NO reason to hate me, yet he does. And unfortunately my boyfriend, I'm starting to realize, has a lot in common with his dad. Like they both, ALL the time, several times a day, get mad for the smallest things and scream in a very high pitched girls voice. And they expect so much from other people, but when it's their turn to be giving, they complain and won't do it. And his dad's thinking on tips is that it's their own fault for taking a low pay job, so you should never tip. So my boyfriend never tips anyone. Even though he is a return customer to some restaurants for lunch. And he got served once by my friend and he didn't leave a tip. Later I got a text message from her saying that he didn't give her a tip, and I didn't know how to respond to her. He normally doesn't pay when we got out to dinner, but when we do I always feel so embarrassed. His dad is very rude and their family is unbelievable. They treat their mother like a slave. His mom works more than his dad (both making less money that I make, together) yet his mom makes dinner while his dad and brother play video games constantly or watch SpongeBob. Then she calls them in for dinner, when finished they leave their plates and everything on the table and go back to play more video games. Don't even say thanks, or push in their chairs. Then while the mom is cleaning up the table, they yell for her to bring them snacks. They are a very hillbilly family. They listen to police scanners and go "mushroom hunting" for fun, and I go to the movies and malls when I'm bored. They go to the VFW (or whatever veterans thing you need a key to get into. Even though they aren't veterans. I have no idea how they got in) for free food, I go to Olive Garden and Applebee's almost regularly. They fight each other over pennies, I'm used to fighting over who will pay because we want to treat the other person. They listen to music nothing after the 1980's and bash anything that isn't what THEY like, and I listen to new music. I just do not want him to be anything like his dad. Is it inevitable, though? Actually his little brother is turning 11. But I don't think he likes SpongeBob. That is his dad's favorite show, though. But his dad hates me and says I'm immature because I laugh at things sometimes. (when I'm nervous around new people, every joke they make I laugh, even if it's not funny, I make a small giggle to be polite. I've gotten better with it, though.) So his younger brother isn't the one I'm worried about influencing him the wrong way.

Are my kids too young for a nintendo DS
Hi, im a 19 year old mother of 4; Daisey (3) Ryder (2) Hope (1) and my little baby Max. My kids adore spongebob and legos and barbies and everything. They usually play playstation and video games with me or bythemself. They really love games. My oldest daughter, Daisey is really good and usually plays alot with her barbies and is a really good girl. Ryder is really hyper but is calmed down when he plays video games. I don't know if i should get daisey and ryder a PSP or nintendo or maybe even a different game sort of thing. And maybe even Hope a little baby game sort of learning thing. But i heard that kids playing video games at a young age could develope learning problems or other problems. Do you think i should get one for them. They're begging me for one and it would probably calm them down and keep them busy when there crazy and im stressed out and maybe it could really help. But idk if they would break it and drop it and cost me money. Cuz im not good with money now. Or maybe loose the game. and i dont want the,m to loose the chips or not know how to play it and break it. Do u think they're too young? if so is there anything else i could get them to keep them busy???? Also if i do get them a nintendo, what games would be really fun and easy and good for them? Ok so when i was littler there was a game on the nickalodean site on the spongebob page where you had to make crabby patties.
