Is it true a guy turns into his father
I can't stand my boyfriend's dad. For many reasons, but he has NO reason to hate me, yet he does. And unfortunately my boyfriend, I'm starting to realize, has a lot in common with his dad. Like they both, ALL the time, several times a day, get mad for the smallest things and scream in a very high pitched girls voice. And they expect so much from other people, but when it's their turn to be giving, they complain and won't do it. And his dad's thinking on tips is that it's their own fault for taking a low pay job, so you should never tip. So my boyfriend never tips anyone. Even though he is a return customer to some restaurants for lunch. And he got served once by my friend and he didn't leave a tip. Later I got a text message from her saying that he didn't give her a tip, and I didn't know how to respond to her. He normally doesn't pay when we got out to dinner, but when we do I always feel so embarrassed.
His dad is very rude and their family is unbelievable. They treat their mother like a slave. His mom works more than his dad (both making less money that I make, together) yet his mom makes dinner while his dad and brother play video games constantly or watch SpongeBob. Then she calls them in for dinner, when finished they leave their plates and everything on the table and go back to play more video games. Don't even say thanks, or push in their chairs. Then while the mom is cleaning up the table, they yell for her to bring them snacks. They are a very hillbilly family. They listen to police scanners and go "mushroom hunting" for fun, and I go to the movies and malls when I'm bored. They go to the VFW (or whatever veterans thing you need a key to get into. Even though they aren't veterans. I have no idea how they got in) for free food, I go to Olive Garden and Applebee's almost regularly. They fight each other over pennies, I'm used to fighting over who will pay because we want to treat the other person. They listen to music nothing after the 1980's and bash anything that isn't what THEY like, and I listen to new music.
I just do not want him to be anything like his dad. Is it inevitable, though?
Actually his little brother is turning 11. But I don't think he likes SpongeBob. That is his dad's favorite show, though. But his dad hates me and says I'm immature because I laugh at things sometimes. (when I'm nervous around new people, every joke they make I laugh, even if it's not funny, I make a small giggle to be polite. I've gotten better with it, though.) So his younger brother isn't the one I'm worried about influencing him the wrong way.

Lucy's Kindergarten Adventures
"Mum! Dad! Get up! Get up! It's school today!" I said. I ran as fast as I could to my room to get dressed and I could hear the crackle of my Rice Bubbles as mum poured milk into them.
"Lucy, breakfast is ready!" yelled Mum.
Dad came out of their bedroom, walking like a zombie, his eyes blank. I quickly ran downstairs to eat my breakfast and to watch the start of SpongeBob.
"Turkey or chicken, Lucy?" Mum asked. I raised my eyebrows in confusion then Mum held up the brown paper bag which my lunch would go into. "Oh Chicken, please."
From a distance I heard a loud rumbling sound, and so looked out the window to see the school bus coming towards our house. I shoved the last few bites of my Rice Bubbles in my mouth, hugged Mum and Dad, grabbed my lunch and school bag and dashed outside just in time to get on the bus.
I was shaking with excitement as I stepped on. The bus driver simply took one look at me and smiled then shut the doors and kept on moving. At least 30 pairs of eyes were watching me as I sat down at the nearest free seat.
Before I knew it we were already at my first school, there were so many people here it wasn't funny the hallways are cramped with people! I asked many people on the directions to get to the school office but looking around I could only see big heads and groups of people.
Walking down the hallway I bumped into a very large man, he said to me "Hello whats your name I'm Mr Big are you new?", "Yes i told him, I'm Lucy and I'm starting Kindergarten today" "Come along with me this is the older kids area, let me show you where you have to go" He said very gently.
Looking around while following Mr Big many people were shouting, and staring at me weirdly. "Where you just were was the secondary area, you can't go there ok this is where your area is" said Mr Big with a smile on his face,"Come, I'll show you to your classroom".
As we walked down the hallways of where my classroom is Mr Big bumped into a very beautiful colourful lady Ms. Sue. "I am your teacher for this year, come i'll show you your class room and your playground" Ms. Sue said in a soothing voice.
She led me into a very colourful room which the walls were painted like rainbows and the ceiling was blue with slodges of white to make it seem like the sky, I thought that was amazing. Then Ms. Sue took me out to the play ground where many kids were playing dodgeball and tips, but before i got to meet anyone the class bell rang.
That morning Ms. Sue took all the new kids just starting school out into a huge hall, in there we played all sorts of games from clapping, to songs, to naming everybodys name in the class in a row.
Next, she had me stand in front of the class and tell something about myself. I thought I was going to run out of things to talk about but I was saved by the bell. The recess bell.
First off I ate my food and had a drink then I went and played on the play equipment with some other kids in my class. Recess was fantastic.
During class time Ms. Sue let us do anything we wanted but we all basically played stuck in the mud, and a few of the other girls pretended to be horses. Although at lunch everyone was buggered some energy was left in the boys and girls but not me.
The rest of the day flew by with ease. When I got home that night, I couldn't wait to tell Mum and Dad all about my adventures. I also couldn't wait to go back to school.
