Are religious people allowed to play cards
I am planning to have a party gathering and there will be people of different religions. I was hoping to play a few card games for entertainment - like blackjack or poker - but was wondering if this would be against any religion (christian, jew, muslim)??

Game show that tries to convert Atheists
ISTANBUL (Reuters) – What happens when you put a Muslim imam, a Christian priest, a rabbi and a Buddhist monk in a room with 10 atheists?
Turkish television station Kanal T hopes the answer is a ratings success as it prepares to launch a gameshow where spiritual guides from the four faiths will seek to convert a group of non-believers.
The prize for converts will be a pilgrimage to a holy site of their chosen religion -- Mecca for Muslims, the Vatican for Christians, Jerusalem for Jews and Tibet for Buddhists.
But religious authorities in Muslim but secular Turkey are not amused by the twist on the popular reality game show format and the Religious Affairs Directorate is refusing to provide an imam for the show.
"Doing something like this for the sake of ratings is disrespectful to all religions. Religion should not be a subject for entertainment programs," High Board of Religious Affairs Chairman Hamza Aktan told state news agency Anatolian after news of the planned program emerged.
The makers of "Penitents Compete" are unrepentant and reject claims that the show, scheduled to begin broadcasting in September, will cheapen religion.
"We are giving the biggest prize in the world, the gift of belief in God," Kanal T chief executive Seyhan Soylu told Reuters.
"We don't approve of anyone being an atheist. God is great and it doesn't matter which religion you believe in. The important thing is to believe," Soylu said.
The project focuses attention on the issue of religious identity in European Union-candidate Turkey, where rights groups have raised concerns over freedom of religion for non-Muslim minorities.
Detractors of the ruling AK Party government, which is rooted in political Islam but officially secular, accuse it of having a hidden Islamist agenda, a charge it denies.
Some 200 people have so far applied to take part in the show and the 10 contestants will be chosen next month.
A team of theologians will ensure that the atheists are truly non-believers and are not just seeking fame or a free holiday. (LMAO!)
Believers: Do you feel this is demeaning to your faith or is it okay since they are trying to convert an infidel?
Atheists: Who of you would sign up for this show and guarantee victory?

Im not sure of my question but I NEED advice
my first time boyfirend and I have been going out for six months now and we are both shy and timid. I'm his first girl friend and he is my first boyfriend. I really like him and I've tried to let him know as much as I can to make him more comfortable. Our first hug was a day into our dating before a basketball game, which we both play and hugs became a common thing, every game i'd get a hug. As soon as basketball ended so did the hugs. A few months later, our friend had a couple birthday party. This is where we first kissed, just a quick peck on the cheek, although i think it was supposed to be on the lips. It was really great though. That was two months ago, and no kiss since. About a month ago we went to the movies, this is the first time we held hands. Never since. I'm kind of starting to think that he doesn't like me like in a romantic way i guess you could call it. We are both family oriented, almost 15 both within the next three months and both religious. His friend, well our friend says that he is just too shy and he is a boy he knows how he feels. he also said he is just too embarassed. If he is embarassed of me then why go out with me?
Last friday i went over to his house for the first time and we watched a movie with his parents and then they left us alone down stairs to hang out. When i went to leave... he didn't even go for a hug or kiss or anything bt the night was great and i was the first girl he had really ever had over. The next monday he went camping and is getting back today.
I guess my questions are:
-What can i do to make him more comfortable to hug, kiss, hold hands... etc.?
-How can I figure out if he is interested in my this way?
- How can i express to him how much i like him?
-when would it be too soon to have him over after our hanging out at him house last friday and him getting back from his camping trip?
- How do i let him know that i am interested in him in those ways and not sex?
thanks ill pick a best answer just please help!!!

From all liberals are terrorist sympathizers to the conservative terrorist movements George Orwell 1984 time
The consistency of the message --- be afraid of half the nation --- they might be a terrorist
The change in the message --- be afraid of the liberals they hate the troops and are godless --- has changed to be afraid of the conservatives they are religious nutters out to run a theocracy
The government changed --- How many of Bush's policies have been changed?
The party has changed --- how many of the tactics and how much of the message has changed ?
Constant war constant fear constant enemies --- constant threats of terror
--------------------- Played upon partisan lines
The barking dogs of the conservative party that were seen as the only true Americans who loved and supported America --- are now begining to be cast in a different light altogether
-------- The former victim of demonization and false accusations are now being portrayed as not a threat -- not the problem etc --- and how fast will some of these former victims be to jump on the bandwagon of finger pointing ?
The game has not changed --- the roles have switched -- but the lines in the play are still all the same as they were before
------------- Message be afraid of half your nation --
We have always been at war with Oceania --- we have always loved and fought for the freedoms of Oceania
The liberals are given to sympathizing with the enemy - the conservatives commit acts of terror ---- be afraid of half the nation ---
That formula was once well known to us -- as divide and conquer
Now that we are aware of the division --- who is the conqueror --- The party and the government change -- but the policies and tactics stay the same

Am I the only one that thinks this is absolutely CRAZY
I don't know if all of you know about the "18 kids and counting" show but I was just wondering if I am the only one that thinks this is crazy.
For those of you who don't know who these people are or what the show is, here's the background:
Michelle Duggar (née Ruark) is the youngest of seven children (she has one brother and five sisters). Originally from Ohio, Michelle moved to Arkansas in her childhood. Jim Bob Duggar is one of two children. The couple met in the early 1980s, when Michelle had experienced a religious conversion and Jim Bob (along with other church members) was sent for follow-up visits. They were married on July 21, 1984.
The Duggars elected to wait before having children and practiced birth control during that time. It would be four years before Joshua, their oldest child, was born. The Duggars then resumed using birth control; however, Michelle conceived again but suffered a miscarriage. Believing the miscarriage was due to the birth control, the Duggars quit using birth control. Instead, as they explain, they decided to allow God to determine the number of children they would have. Shortly thereafter, Michelle became pregnant again, this time with her first of two sets of twins, Jana and John-David. Thereafter, approximately once every year and a half, Michelle would again become pregnant and give birth.
The Duggars are conservative Baptists who endorse the Quiverfull movement. The children watch very little television and their internet usage is strictly monitored. The children are home-schooled using a mix of materials, including those of Switched On Schoolhouse, IBLP (produced by Christian teacher Bill Gothard), and Accelerated Christian Education (ACE). The children do not date, but rather go through courtship, which requires the young man to seek permission from the girl's father to begin the relationship, even if both parties are adults. All meetings between an engaged couple include a chaperone, and they believe in abstaining from all physical affection and intimacy (except hand holding), including kissing, until marriage.
The Duggars raise their children using a buddy system, in which an older sibling assists the younger sibling in daily tasks. According to Michelle, "They help them with their little phonics lessons and games during the day and help them practice their music lessons. They will play with them or help them pick out the color of their outfit that they want to wear that day, and just all of those types of things." In 2004, Michelle Duggar won the "Young Mother of the Year Award" in Arkansas, which is sponsored by American Mothers Incorporated.
Jim Bob Duggar is a former state legislator who served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002. The Duggars now say their income is derived from the commercial properties they own. The Duggars claim they live debt-free, which Jim Bob has said is "the fruit of Jim Sammons' Financial Freedom Seminar" he attended years ago. Their large house was completed on January 20, 2006 with aid from Discovery Networks and corporate sponsors, who also donated a full pantry and household appliances.
In early April 2009, their oldest son, Joshua, and his wife, Anna, announced that Anna was pregnant. In an interview, Anna stated, "I am three months, and feeling great." They are due around October 18th, 2009. When asked about potential names, they hinted in the interview in keeping with the one letter tradition. Josh stated they were thinking "M," after his mother. It will be the first grandchild for Jim Bob and Michelle.
So again, am I the only one that thinks this is absolutely CRAZY?
