fun christmas gift exchange games
Fun Christmas Eve Games
For chirstmas Eve tonight, we are getting together with some family and friends for a pre-christmas celebration. There are going to be about 15-20 of us there. Not really any kids- the youngest around 15, so no kiddy games please.
Since the economy this year we decided not to do the extra 20$ present white elephant/gift exchange thing, so nobody is bringing small gifts. If you have any ideas of any games or activities we can do to get in the Christmas spirit and have fun, LET ME KNOW!
THANKS

What are some games that can be played on Christmas that involve exchanging gifts
Every year my family participates in the same gift exchanging game (which I personally find confusing and frustrating) on Christmas, however, I'm hosting this year and want to try something different and fun. Something where we're still exchanging gifts, but no one goes home dissatisfied with how the game turned out.
Any and all ideas would be a great help!

What are some good holiday party games
I am having a Christmas party in a couple weeks with probably 8-10 close friends. I want to have some kind of game or entertainment planned, but I think white elephant/dirty santa gift exchanges are SO overdone this time of year. Most people get sick of them. I want to think of something else that will be fun, but a little more original. I am in an apartment, so I don't have a lot of space. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!

Boring christmas parties
OK so the concensus has been that the party is boring, It is a very large and delicious meal at a fancy banquet room, elegant with out having to be a black tie event. Besides the great appetizers and meal the usual thing is a white elephant style, gift exchange (company provided of course) ranging $25-$50. The gifts are alright, we would aall love cash prizes better, But word is that the majority of the employees hate this and dont want to do the exchange. So now there is a commitee and need ideas for games or a form of entertaining things to do that will involve and encourage everyone to mingle or interact. What great ideas does anyone have for this type of situation? How can we make this party more memorable for fun instead of dumb? It is a small group roughly 30 couples ( 60 people)
Well darcymc unfortunatly none of what you said is true , but thats ok. I enjoy the parties , I dont attend expecting a gift and actually suggested this year that we have everyone bring canned food "if" they want to so that we can give it to the food bank and others. I didnt get put on the commitee, I was aked by the commitee to give them ideas, I dont like the ides of just handing out a 20 spot or a simple gift card, just because it seems so impersonal. " Hey thanks for coming heres 20 bucks and a gift card for $75 to walmart, eat and we'll see ya monday" yay fun. I enjoy the socializing, however several of the gents ( and I mean 12 to be exact ) here have actually told me that they dont want the gift exchange because it makes them uncomfortable getting up in front of everyone and trading gifts. I have been wiht this company for 6 years and always enjoy the things that are planned for any occasion, but I want to make sure that majority of the people are going to enjoy their evening.

I need a new Christmas Gift Exchange Game for a family Christmas party
Our family has played the "Dirty Santa" or "Chinese Gift Exchange" for so many years that it has grown tiresome. I admit that it was fun once upon a time, but it's become so routine, and our family has grown so much that everyone is ready to leave by the time it ends. I want laughter again! In case you aren't familiar, the game I've mentioned is where everyone brings a gift and draws a number. The first person takes a gift of choice...the next person can either steal that gift or take another unopened gift, and again the third person can steal either of those, or open a new gift, etc. Anyone have any other good ideas? Drawing names ahead of time doesn't work for us...this is an pre-Christmas extended family member party that we usually have at a restaurant or church hall, so we never know who will actually attend. I also know about the LEFT-RIGHT game and am considering it if I don't learn of something else more fun. Thanks!
The age of the family members range from mid-20s to up into the 80s. Kids don't play because we hire Santa to come bring presents to them and read them a story.
