Whats the simplest computer languages that a Novice wNO training or background in computers can learn free
I want to use my computer to self-teach myself a computer programming language that I can eventually use on my employment resume, but I am a complete computer NOVICE with no computer training and very little knowledge of any one specific program (I don't use my computer except for online computer gaming and things like socializing on places like Facebook or to compose very simple letters on MSWorks' Word Processor). I've heard that some of the free tutorial websites are easier than others to learn from and that you can do it without having to go out and buy books and that you can set your computer up as a practice lab for the things you learn. (Can anyone give me feedback on this or tell me how to do this?) What is the easiest basic or general programming for someone like me to learn that has the best potential to be in demand for employment that I can start off with to get my foot in the door of a job in some type of generalized or basic entry-level programming position of any type? Please DON'T tell me about how I can go to a community college to learn it because I have been unemployed for over 2 yrs now (due to getting sick with cancer that is now in full remission) and about how there are student loans, grants and scholarships that I may be able to apply for and/or qualify for, because at my age (45), I really don't want to mess with any of that and I would rather try to learn it on my own using my home computer and a good tutorial website that can teach me on a step-by-step basis.
