bridal shower games words
bridal shower help
i'm throwing a bridal shower, and it is going to be a great afternoon(: everything is planned, but i just need help deciding on a couple words for a game...
there is the game where each guest is given a clothespin(in this case a bell) and there are 2 or 3 taboo words they can't say, or they lose their bell to the person who catches them. and the person with the most bells at the end wins. so, my problem is that i can't decide on the words
help?
some suggestions to help me choose from are:
bride
groom
beautiful
dress
alyssa(bride's name)
tony(groom's name)
hot (it's a lingerie shower)
but yeah... if u have any other suggestions they are totally welcomed :)
the shower is today, so the sooner the better :)
like 2 or 3 words :)
thanks!

REPOST I need your ideas on games
Sorry, i have asked this maybe 2 or 3 times and have gotten like 1 answer, so i thought since i have gotten good answers in this section from you ladies, maybe you have had a bridal shower of your own...
My cousin is getting married August 22nd and i am her maid of honor. We are very close and at first she wasnt wanting a big expensive wedding or a shower...but i decided to give her a shower anyways on the 25th of July and i will be paying for it with the help of my mom and her mom..but i will be providing almost everything except food. There are around 25 women coming and i have like 2 games to play with everyone. One game for the bride. and then one thing for everyone to do (writing words of advice and congratulations on a piece of paper to give the bride)...otherwise i dont really have any more games. I would like to have somewhere between 5-10 games..so maybe 5 more games since i have 2 already..
If anyone could give me some games they have seen, played, or had at their shower, that would be amazing!!
Thanks!

Colby--good idea!
I am actually doing this game though..but a little different..
Instead of taking the label off when she gets it wrong, she has to put a piece of gum in her mouth, she could have a whole pack in her mouth by the time she is done! :)

Naughty and Nice Bridal Shower Ideas
My sister is my maid of honor and she has decided on a "Naughty and Nice" theme for the bridal shower. Now she's stuck on how to word the invitations, what decorations to buy, what food/drinks to serve... the whole 9 yards! What is a "naughty and nice shower"? what type of gifts are given for it? What decorations are to be used? what games can you play? Anything about this type of shower will help. I know I'm not supposed to be planning it, I'm just looking for a variety of ideas to tell my sister to kind of help her out.
Also, my Fiance and I don't need anything for our house (our house is really small and we cannot fit anything else in it) What can we do let guests know because I don't want to offend anyone buy not keeping or using the items that they get for us...

I'm looking for unique ideas, not the same old worn out "unscramble the word" games. Appreciate any help! Thanks!

Bridal Shower Advice PLEASE help
Hi there! I'm planning my sister in law's bridal shower. (im the maid of honor) and I'm doing a "something borrowed something blue" theme! I'm on a very low budget, but want to do something great for her!
I bought a bag of these huge fake diamond rings for decoration so far, and i have some games in mind, as well as a jar that people can put their marriage advice for her in what will be called the "borrowed" words of advice jar..
Any other inexpensive ideas for decorations, games, and for food!? I really want to stick with the elegant "Tiffany box blue" theme!! And do blue candies ect.. Thanks so much for advice, I'm totally stuck!! : )

What do I do when I feel used and unappreciated in a friendship
Hi there folks,
I have a friend, who I would consider close. Only be words though. When I really think about it, I don't think it's actually true, but more so hopeful.
I've known her since high school - and now, in our mid twenties a pattern of crappy friendship has become so consistent I'm not sure if I should just part ways.
She's the classic 'lazy' friend. For as long as I can remember she was like that but I'm getting to the point where I want to have solid friendships that can be upheld and maintained through adulthood and not flake every other opportunity. Let me explain.
I care about her. So much so I made her maid of honor at my wedding. She was a flake then too. She responded to emails when a week would pass on a pressing issue, never call me when I'd schedule a time to talk, and miss days where we'd plan to meet up so that she could go out with some one whom she confesses to hate when she's with me. The worst part its, she insisted that she was going to plan a bridal shower for me and so no one else did....and then it never happened. I ended up getting stuck footing the bill for the bookings.
I'm pretty patient and give most everyone the benefit of the doubt. I don't like to let things bother me, which is probably why this has gone on for so long. When I confront her, and ask why she didn't come through - she'll absolutely flip out at me.
Luckily that hasn't happened in a long time...mostly because I've just given up.
What's happened recently is that I've become pregnant with my first child. I don't know if it's just me, but when your supposed best friend is having her first baby, you're involved in it right? At least call her to say hi? See how she's doing?
The kicker is, is that this friend lives just a few minutes away. She knows I'm about to give birth any day now and I've only heard two squeaks from her since two months ago - when she came to collect her crock pot I borrowed.
I try to appeal to her senses and I write to her.. yes she lives in the same town as me...and I write to her. Handwritten letters saying how much it would be nice to see her. How great it is when we get together...
Funny thing is, when she finally does come through (usually because something terrible happens ...like when I went to the hospital for a couple days...that'll get her to come through) she confesses that we're best friends, that she cares so much for me, and that there's no one in the world as important of a friend to her then me.... um? did I miss something? when she does this it almost makes me laugh now...
I just want her to acknowledge me. I've done so much for her - and every one of my friends. Because I'm a loyal friend. That's what friends do, and for Pete's sake it's hard to find that in return. Ever. It really frustrates me when I know she's just sitting at home playing video games and here I am by myself again, trying to organize a BBQ for when the baby comes. And she knows it.
I'm sorry, that's a bit of a vent isn't it? Well I suppose I'm just tired of not having any decent friends. No one has come through for me, and I feel at my wits end. Why is it that friendship is so hard to come by?
Thanks for listening...or reading for that matter.
Cheers

How come I cant seem to find decent friends
Hi everyone,
So, I think I'm a pretty regular girl. I'm in my mid twenties, I'm a laid-back Libra and I'd like to think I'm flexible, forgiving, open and fun to be around. But for some reason I find my self often disappointed by my 'close' friends. I feel like when I'm friends with someone, I'm loyal to them, I'll be there when they need me, I'll go out of my way to say hi or do nice gestures for them but I find it rare to get that in return. Sometimes even, despite having done nothing wrong that I'm aware of I find myself alone. Where are these people who are supposed to be my friends when I need them? I'm always there for other people and when it comes to me, every one seems to forget.
If I might make an example, I never got a bridal shower, because everyone was too busy or didn't want to, or even complained about having to participate. Now I'm having my first baby with my husband and guess what, I'm not going to have a baby shower either because I refuse to be let down again. I don't want to think for months that they're going to pull together only to leave me hanging and disappointed and stuck with the costs.
Perhaps I'm delusional and there's something strange about me. I think I'm a pretty balanced person and yet I feel so disposable.
Why is there such a blatant deficit of people out there who are willing to keep their word and form half decent relationships? Am I weird or what?? Sometimes I feel like giving up on playing the 'friend' game...
