This is my first PC build, I've never built one before. It's primarily for gaming.
First I would like to say I want this to run ultimately cool, hence the CPU cooling, the large case (I have no idea where Im gonna put the case lol), and the DHX ram and the card. Will this system run pretty cool under load? I do intend on using it often for games, some nights perhaps for several hours or more.
Also if there are any tips for building that would help me, I'd appreciate it. I will use the pea size method for the thermal paste on the CPU.
Oh one other thing, is everthing compatible with each other? I.e RAM with Mobo, PSU and Mobo, PSU and Case. Etc. I jsut want to make sure I get this right, because once the money is spent, I have no left and then I'll be left with hardware that either works or doesn't. Which is also another reason why I'd like some build tips lol.

What would you call me
Ok I really have no worries about what people call me nor do I care I'm just kind of interested. classify me as what you think i am not just what you think i want to hear. I am talking about high school clicks and what not
1) ok I love computers and when I mean love I mean I could sit in a room for hours drooling over the specs of some sweet*** gaming computer non stop.
2) I play sports... lots of them. I wrestle, play football, golf, and I do throwing events in track. (In the top 2 or 3 out of most of them)
3) I play in the school band though I'm thinking of quiting this year
4) I'm a gamer you could say PC, 360, PS3, it doesn't mater I'm alway playing games... if I'm not hanging with my friends I'm playing on Live or PSN
5) I'm smart you could say. I maintain a steady A to B average in most all my classes with the occasional C thrown in. I'm in all AP (Honors) classes
6) I hang with the nerds because they like to talk about the things that I like I.E games and anything involving computers. and I also hang with the popular kids because most of them aren't ***weeds and are nice to other people... most of them
7) I hate to see people picked on and I will step in if I see it happening no matter who is doing it. I don't care if its a friend or not it just not going to happen around me
8) I love to rock and I mean hard.
9) I dress nice... I usual wear jeans with a nice T-shirt from AE or something like that nothing really fancy though
10) I'm short... 5' 4"
11) I don't really get out much what with me being 15 and all, but I just got my learners permit and I'm hoping to go do more **** when I can get my licence
when I turn 16 hopefully lol. you can always hope :D

it was probably Xbox live that started it lol. I didn't used to swear a lot, the words kind of lose there meaning after the first couple of weeks of online play. because you have five your olds yelling **** and **** your family will my **** in your ***** about every couple of hours or so. into you ears.
its hard not to tell them to STFU, but then you kind of feel bad because you just cussed out a LITTLE kid :'( oh well i guess XD

Just built PC but not working
Hi, I just finished building my new PC.
The (important) parts I used were:
HAF 932 Case
Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition
Nvidea GTX285
4gb (2x2gb) kit of G.skill 1333 DDR3 7.7.7.18 RAM
Thermaltake Evo blue gaming PSU
ASUS M47A9T-Deluxe Mobo
Everything is connected correctly - we set it up with just the basic graphics card (2 six-to-eight pin cables, 6 pin ends in the card and eight pin ends in the PSU), mobo (24 pin connecter and 8 pin connector), the processor and stock fan, the ram, and the power button connected.
We keep getting the same problem however - at first it would just turn on for about a quarter of a second (PSU LED lit up, all fans started), then turned off. The mobo lights though (the power and reset buttons) stayed lit up. After tinkering trying to fix it by clearing CMOS, pulling everything apart and putting it back together, and swapping the jumper cable and ram positions. I don't know what it is?? Everything should be compatible...plz help

I know Ebay seems like the most obvious choice, but i cant really use it legally seeing as im not 18 yet... and not to mention it charges me $1 to post the ad, and then 5.25% of my profit should i sell it, so really there is no point me selling there if i dont get virturally anything for it... any ideas?

I know this is a strange kind of question,but I need to use the computer silently.Which means that I locked my door and saying that I'm studying,but I'm on my PC.Well not everytime,only when I don't want to study.But my parents hear when I am hitting a button or clicking.I tried to push them more softly but doesn't work on a game where I have to tap them quickly.Do you know any idea to keep it quiet while I am hitting buttons?don't say stupid things

PC slows down even after installing ram PLS HELP
I used to have a sluggish PC when playing video so I thought upgrading RAM would be a solution. So just yesterday I had my RAM upgraded. I added one more 512 MB (2x 512 MB) making 1GB for the ram.
I was hopeful that I will have a faster PC for playing games and videos. After I installed the new RAM, I've noticed an improvement of my PC.. It ran faster that it used to. Not until when I decided to play a video in youtube. After watching video for like 20 mins or so.. The video (and the pc as well) suddenly became VERY sluggish. I checked the task manager and I was shocked finding out that it is running a 100% CPU usage, just like before. It drives me nuts!
I already check the properties and my computer recognizes the new added RAM, so I am sure I installed it correctly. I didnt used any other programs that time.
So whats seems to be the problem? My computer really slowed down everytime I watch a youtube video or video saved on my computer. And its freakin consuming a 100 % CPU usage..

BioShock PC No game play sound
So I recently bought a package that includes Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and BioShock. I put in Oblivion, works fine, whatever. I put in BioShock, it works fine... Until I actually get to game play.
Once I get into game play, the sound dies %100. I go into options, audio options. I make sure the volume is up, make sure the speaker setup matches my speakers, and I make sure all of the advanced settings are set. But still no sound. (Yes I restarted after doing all of that) The menu screen has sound. The opening cut scene in the plane has sound. But once you get in the water and start playing, it dies. You get out of the water and into the elevator, no sound.
Windows Vista 64-bit is what I use, and the box says it is supported.
