What are some good CoOp Wii games to play with my gaming amateur girlfriend
I've been playing video games since I was three and usually have no problem jumping right into a new game and figuring it out. My girlfriend, on the other hand, had never played more than Solitare until four months ago. I recently bought a Wii and even more recently, a second remote and nunchuk so we could play more than just Wii Sports together. Now to narrow it down a little bit.. She's very squeamish so games like Resident Evil are not possible. Oddly enough, she loves Fallout 3 (even when my character Power Fists some guy's head off). Maybe it's prolonged extreme violence or maybe it was the creepy leeches forming a monster. Either way she's definitely more into "cheerful" games. She really seems to enjoy games where she can pick from a variety of characters. She plays Mario Kart DS all the time and seemed to enjoy Super Smash Bros Brawl although she gets frustrated quickly because she can't follow what's happening on the screen and constantly loses place of her character. I got her Animal Crossing though she hasn't spent much time in that, she prefers to play with me (and so do I). She LOVES Cooking Mama (both DS and Wii versions) and somehow became addicted to Space Invaders Extreme. One other thing to mention is that I'm in a foreign country and English is her second language. She's never really been exposed to gaming nor a lot of western culture so things like Mario and superheroes are really exciting to her. And I just love having someone to play games with. She tends to be more patient with games that have voice acting and subtitles because it gives her a chance to listen to English. She's good but she's not fluent yet. I've been thinking about Lego Star Wars or Lego Batman because I understand they both offer co-op modes and in many cases the co-op function is very helpful (puzzles etc) but I'm not sure how the pace is. I mentioned the DS a few times but I only have one so co-op DS games are kind of out. Wii games are ideal, though PC games could be an option as well provided they're the kind of game you can play with a wireless PS2/Xbox design controller.
